Asphalt Crew

About the role:

Due to expediential growth we are currently seeking reliable, adaptable, responsible and experienced Asphalt labourers and Operators to work full-time within a second newly established crew.  In this role you will be responsible for working with hot mix and spray seal on job sites through-out the Sydney Metropolitan areas.

Ideally you will have experience in any of the below areas:

• Asphalt Crew Supervisor
• Roller – steel or multi
• Screed board operator

To be considered for this role you must possess the following:

• A valid NSW drivers’ licence;
• A construction induction OH&S white card;
• Ability to be adaptable, and work to deadlines including night shift, overtime, occasional weekend work and regional work when required;
• A flexible attitude towards varied start and finish times is a must;
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality, punctuality, reliability, respect of others and to work as part of an efficient team;
• Keen attitude and willingness to learn;
• Willing to undertake a Fit for Work Assessment and able to pass a Drug & Alcohol screen.

These roles are ideal for those not afraid of a hard day’s work, long hours and getting their hands dirty. You will need to be reliable, have a good eye for detail and willing to work as an important part of a crew.

HC Truck & Dog Driver

J & E Asphalt & Civil Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated multi-disciplined road works contractor that services client job sites around NSW. Founded in 1978, we started with one Grader and now have a fleet of over 40 pieces of plant machinery and equipment.

About the role:

We are currently seeking a reliable, adaptable, and experienced person with a HC Truck licence to join our company as a Truck and Dog Driver. In this role you will be responsible for carting asphalt and road base materials to customer job sites predominately through-out the Sydney Metropolitan area.

Your duties and responsibilities as a HC Truck & Dog Driver will include but are not limited to:

• Vehicle to be presented clean and tidy this includes: washing the truck regularly
  Conducting daily checks on the vehicle and reporting maintenance required
• Ability to complete documentation associated with collection and delivery of asphalt or road-base materials
• Willing to be adaptable to changing shifts and rosters including: – nightshift, O/T & occasional weekend work

To be considered for this role you must possess the following:

• Heavy combination (HC) Truck licence
• OH&S induction for construction industry (White Card)
• Heavy Vehicle experience is preferred
• Good Driving Record
• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant transport laws and regulations
• Punctual & reliable
• Pass a Drug & Alcohol pre-employment assessment and on-going random testing as required
• A flexible attitude towards varied start and finish times is a must
